Michael Keefe trained from an early age at Kerry Smith’s Academy of Dance Arts, K&M Studio in Massachusetts and was a featured dancer with the Massachusetts Youth Ballet. During that time Michael also focused on tap dance where he performed in various jobs including, dancing for President Bush at the 2004 Presidential Inauguration, performing off Broadway with “Mike Minery and Friends”, “Tap Kids” and “Break The Floor.”

He then went on to expand his training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After Tisch Michael began dancing professionally, touring with JoJo and Hilary Duff. From there he continued his professional career dancing and touring the world as a principal dancer with “Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of Dance” where they also performed on various live television shows. Their world tour included traveling all over Europe, India, Russia, Asia, Australia, and more.

After tour Rasta Thomas and Michael decided to create a tap show called “Tap Stars” where they brought together and collaborated with a number of top tap dancers in the country, including, Jason Janas, Anthony Russo, Cartier Williams and more to perform in Germany. Michael has performed and toured with multiple professional companies including “Tap Stars”, “Rhythmic Circus”, and Travis Wall’s “Shaping Sound Dance Company”. He was a part of the most recent show “After the Curtain” touring with Shaping Sound Dance Company.

Since moving to Los Angeles Michael has expanded his professional career performing on the VMA’s with Kelly Clarkson, starring in a dance documentary, “Movement One”, dancing in Shaping Sound’s short film collaborating with Olafur Arnolds and many more. Michael travels the country teaching and choreographing for young aspiring dancers at various studios, companies, workshops and is very excited to begin this season with JUMP!
