Molly Long

@MOLLYLONG21

JAZZ

Molly Long began her dance training at age three at her mother’s studio, California Dance Academy. By just sixteen, she was already choreographing standout routines that gained worldwide recognition for their musicality, detail, and distinctive style.

Today, Molly works as a freelance choreographer across the United States and internationally, with credits spanning Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2015, she founded Project 21, a training program created to elevate the standard of competitive dance in Orange County. What began with just 20 dancers has grown into a globally recognized studio, earning National Champion titles every year since its inception and being named “Best Jazz Studio” in 2021 and 2023.

Project 21 has produced multiple national titleholders and has been featured on World of Dance and the cover of Dance Spirit Magazine. Alongside her work at the studio, Molly continues to travel extensively as a sought-after choreographer and serves on faculty with Jump Dance Convention.

In 2023, Molly expanded into mainstream entertainment, choreographing for the Laker Girls, Knicks City Dancers, and Grammy Award–winning artist Laufey. Her work with Laufey includes choreography for the A Matter of Time national tour, the “From The Start,” “Lover Girl,” and “Madwoman” music videos, and performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and Coachella. In the “Madwoman” music video, Molly collaborated with a standout cast including Hudson Williams, Lola Tung, Megan Skiendiel, and Alysa Liu.

Molly’s choreography has also achieved widespread viral success. Works such as Project 21’s “Pop Muzik” and “Double Dutch Bus,” along with Laufey’s “Lover Girl” and “Tough Luck,” have gained major traction on TikTok, been featured on Good Day LA, and even integrated into Fortnite. Her “Pop Muzik” piece was recently showcased on Dancing with the Stars, inspiring a performance by Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy. In 2026, her “Double Dutch Bus” choreography was featured on CBSLA, TMZ, and Australia’s Channel 7 morning news.

Despite her global reach, Molly remains deeply committed to her dancers at Project 21, where she finds her greatest fulfillment in mentoring and developing the next generation of artists.
