Sean Kaminski, a Chicago native, studied under renowned instructors such as Donna Johnson, Ashley Deforest, and Jay Fagan. He was a Chicago Human Rhythm Project scholarship recipient for eight years and further honed his craft at Jacob’s Pillow, training with masters like Jimmy Slyde, Dianne Walker, Michelle Dorrance, and Dormeshia. Over the past two decades, Sean has performed and taught at prestigious events nationwide, including the North Carolina Rhythm Tap Fest, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Phoenix Tap Fest, American Tap Fest, St. Louis Tap Fest, and Ayodele Casel’s Chasing Magic at the Joyce Theater in NYC.

For the past five years, Sean has traveled the country teaching at conventions and is excited to share his expertise at Jump. Now based in Los Angeles, he regularly performs with jazz musicians at The Lighthouse Café, the oldest jazz venue on the West Coast.
